ADDIS ABABA, 3 January 2010 (PlusNews) - The conference is being organised under the theme "Sexuality, HIV & AIDS in Africa" and will explore how the application of human rights frameworks to sexuality might provide new insights in developing interventions to reduce the spread of HIV/AIDS.

It will also focus on critical issues like gender- based violence including female genital mutilation, rape as a weapon of war, child marriages, masculinity, sexual orientation, gender equality and sexuality.
